许多小行星也会一再返回，进行重复造访。2022 NX1 小行星曾在1981年和2022年成为迷你月亮，预计将于2051年再次回归。最好的例子之一是2006 RH120，它在2006年7月至2007年7月间绕地球运行了一整年。这种现象似乎很规律稳定，以至于一些研究人员声称地球总是有一颗迷你月亮潜伏在某处!!
