北美院線聯盟通報，迪士尼真人版「小美人魚」（The Little Mermaid）在美國陣亡將士紀念日（Memorial Day）假期週末首映，就成為北美票房冠軍。

北美院線聯盟（Exhibitor Relations）這部翻拍1989年動畫的真人版「小美人魚」電影，在美國、加拿大狂掃1.175億美元的票房，在其他國家也有6800萬美元的收入。

法新社報導，分析師葛羅斯（David A. Gross）表示，這部「小美人魚」雖然成為票房冠軍，卻沒有打破迪士尼（Disney）動畫改編真人電影的最佳首映週末紀錄。
他回憶，2019年的「獅子王」（The Lion King）和2017年的「美女與野獸」（Beauty and the Beast），上映首週末分別進帳1.918億美元和1.748億美元。
即便如此，真人版「小美人魚」還大勝上週票房冠軍「玩命關頭X」（Fast-X），該片本週以2950萬美元排名第2。
「星際異攻隊3」（Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3）、「超級瑪利歐兄弟電影版」（The Super Mario Bros. Movie）本週的排名都下滑一個位置，分別以2530萬美元和770萬美元排在第3名、第4名。
動作喜劇「機器」（The Machine, 暫譯）票房580萬美元，排名第5。
第6到第10名的電影依序為：「義美超級爸」（About My Father），530萬美元；「坎達哈行動」（Kandahar），300萬美元；「你傷了我的感情」（You Hurt My Feelings, 暫譯），180萬美元；「鬼玩人：復活」（Evil Dead Rise），120萬美元；「高年級姐妹會2：下一章」（Book Club: The Next Chapter, 暫譯），120萬美元。
